Location: Smoke "The Restaurant" - Downtown
                  1170 E Commerce St
                  San Antonio, TX 78227

Facilitator: Dr. Tom Tonkin, Cornerstone on Demand

Description: Fiesta San Antonio is around the corner. Let's kick it off while learning!

As part of the Learning and Development family, ATD has organized a set of competencies crafted to assist the talent development professional to be ready for the workforce of the future This month's competency for discussion is "integrated talent management" (ITM).

The good news and the bad news is that ITM is broad and deep in its scope. So, to make the session useful, we will discuss one portion of the ITM competency, equipping managers to develop their people.

In this session, Dr. Tom Tonkin, Principal Consultant, Advisory Services for Cornerstone onDemand, will discuss both the employee side of behavioral engagement as well as the manager's point of view. It is essential that the manager understands both the motivation of the employee and how to be best prepared to maximize their potential.

Learner Outcomes: Discussing specific actions, Dr. Tom Tonkin will step through how to identify your employees' engagement behaviors, classify them to better understand an effective intervention, and lastly, how the manager can better equip themselves to serve their subordinates. Success stories, lessons learned and considerations will be shared from past and current organizations to highlight these issues and associated solutions.
