DescriptionExplore StrengthsFinder’s approach utilizing the assessment for talent development through one-to-one coaching. Strengths coaching offers professionals the opportunity to fully understand and invest in their talents with the primary purpose of stimulating, motivating, and facilitating the growth, development, and performance of the individual, partner or team.

Coaching has a purpose and supports people to reach their goals and potential by helping them understand who they are and where they want to go. Strengths coaching guides and empowers professionals on their developmental journey, when the support of an alternative perspective or a broadening of their own outlook will make them more effective - even better than they are today. 

Learner Outcomes:

  • At the end of this session, learners will have a foundational understanding of Strengths talent development through positive psychology.
  • Learners will have a deeper appreciation of the different learning experiences of training events, workshops and one-to-one coaching.
  • Learners will also gain awareness of how StrengthsFinder talent development tool can be leveraged for career management and transition, leadership development and team diversity.

About the Facilitators:

 

Barbara A. F. Greene (pictured, left)  launched Greene and Associates, Inc. in 1996 and expanded her business by becoming a partner in a global organization, Career Partners International. Based on a 99% referral rate, Barbara has developed relationships with diverse organizations, working across the enterprise. Organizations engage Barbara and her local and global team in providing executive coaching, leadership development, corporate mentoring and career transition and management services along with other talent and change management solutions. She participates in the Good to Great to Global (G3) Healthcare and Biosciences Initiative, a $31 billion-dollar industry in San Antonio. Barbara  has contributed her leadership talents to  the Association of Talent Development, International Coach Federation, THRU Project, City Year, San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind, National Diversity Council, Prospanica, National Association of Women Business Owners and the United Way Master Leadership Program. She is an ICF Master Certified Coach and has a MS in Counseling.

Marisa Ortiz (pictured, right) is a global consultant who has worked with organizations in several countries. Her deep experience in talent development, customer solutions, account management, team development, and cultural awareness bridges enterprises in diverse industries. Her 15-year career includes experience in the San Antonio non-profit and consulting sectors, as well as 8 years worked at Rackspace as a Strengths Program Manager, Business Trainer and international client services in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American markets. Gallup-certified Strengths Coach since early 2014, Marisa facilitates dynamic workshops and provides 1:1 coaching on integrating a Strengths-based culture and understanding individual and team Strengths. Marisa holds an MA in International Relations from St. Mary’s University and a B.A. in French and Political Science from UTEP. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and French with intermediate knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese and self-taught beginning Hindi.

Since 2016, Barbara and Marisa have joined forces to combine Barbara’s 20-year executive coaching experience, with Marisa’s substantial knowledge on strengths, talent development, and international business to become partners in the success of their clients’ projects.
