Learning Objectives:
Description: Have you noticed that your learners are just hitting “next” in your e-Learnings and not really retaining much of the information presented? In this presentation James Hilburn and Dorothy Thomas will discuss concepts that could be used instead of having your learner sit in front of an hour long e-Learning course, hitting “next” on every slide, and not retaining the information you need them to understand. They will discuss topics and issues they have seen while developing e-Learning courses and share ideas on how to move beyond the typical e-Learning course.
Speaker: James Hilburn, Technical Design & Development Lead, SWBC; Dorothy Thomas, Technical Design & Development Specialist, SWBC
Background: James Hilburn has been working in some form of training for over the last 20 years. Working as a youth minister at his church, he worked with youth in middle school and high school. Once he moved into the business world, he took those years of training and put his skills to work.
