Relevant Audience: Those that design and evaluate training, evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, oversee curriculum design, and training facilitators

Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

  • Apply three tools to determine quality, validity, and difficulty of objectives during design
  • Utilize tools to determine methods/training approach
  • Apply 3 tools to validate quality, transitions, level 2 evaluation, and structural soundness of course design
By the end of the session.

Description: This presentation will re-introduce an old friend in instructional design, as well as introduce a few new friends that may help clarify and demystify why those learners are getting confused! Additionally, taking your material and objectives and putting them through a proven process will expedite your process-AND create a smooth and simplified process for your learner! We will tie it all up with a simple tool to double check that your objectives have been served by your design!

Speaker: Cora Lonning , Organizational Development & Learning Professional, Whataburger Restaurants

Background: Throughout her career Cora has enjoyed serving as a community mediator, professional speaker, classroom trainer, consultant, coach, and university adjunct professor. Cora specializes in values-driven cultures and leadership. Cora has worked with companies such as HOLT CAT, Spurs Sports and Entertainment (Go Spurs Go), Frost Bank, Maloof Entertainment (Sacramento Kings), Multi-Chem, Alamo Colleges, City of San Antonio, Whataburger, and other organizations committed to their people and working toward a common purpose for mutual gain. Cora has been an adjunct professor for over 11 years teaching Communication, Development, and Business Leadership classes. She co-created the training certificate degree program and was lead instructor within the program at Marylhurst University. Cora has served on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio chapters of The Association of Organizational Development and Association for Talent Development.
