Description: To provide insight into the defining differences between the 5 generations: Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials/Generation Y, and Generation Z. Understanding the commonalities between the generations and their work styles affords HR professionals and employers the opportunity to develop specific multi-generational management strategies.

Objectives: At the end of our talk, we’d like our guests to be able to:

  • Explore and understand the commonalities among the 5 generations.
  • Outline and define the work styles of each generation.
  • Develop practical strategies for managing multi-generational work environments.

Speakers: 
Jeri L. George, Vice President of HR – Interim, Goodwill Industries of San Antonio

Background: Jeri provides executive leadership and strategic oversight for Goodwill Industries of San Antonio's human resources department, including talent acquisition and development, and safety and risk management. She is a certified HR professional with over 14 years’ experience serving as a manager, administrator, recruiting officer, and director. She has also served as an executive cabinet member representing a San Antonio area ISD. Jeri comes to Goodwill having held leadership positions at both non-profit organizations and school districts. She is a talented public speaker who has shared knowledge and skills at various HR conferences and luncheons and is a 2016-2018 Board Member for the San Antonio Human Resource Management Association.

Speaker Accomplishments: San Antonio Human Resource Management Association – Board Member 2016-2018 (Marketing and PR); Speaking Engagements include presentation for the Texas Diversity Council, SAHRMA, South Texas HR Symposium, Mulling@Work 1160AM, and San Antonio Express News and Monster.com sponsored events.
