Speaker: Rubie Hernandez-Gano, SeaWorld
Background: Rubie Hernandez-Gano, is a Human Resource (HR) professional skilled at assessing and responding to business needs, cultivating a healthy work environment, and solving complex problems through a deliberate, empathic and positive approach. She has over 15 years’ experience in HR as well as training and development with SeaWorld. She is currently the Manager of Human Resources and is responsible for the training and employee relation functions at the San Antonio location. Rubie partners with leadership to provide professional expertise in the areas of employee relations and corrective performance management. She also delivers leadership classes using the Strengthsfinders philosophies. Rubie is also works with the executive team to build emotional intelligence through assessments and coaching development in key competencies.
Accomplishments: Rubie has her Professional HR certification (PHR) and a Masters of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management from National University. She also has achieved the Competent Communicator and Leader certifications from Toastmasters International. Rubie is now a Certified Social and Emotional Intelligence Coach through the Institute for Social and Emotional Intelligence.
