Topic: UX Research: Keeping the User at the Center of Design
Summary: It can be a real challenge to keep the user in mind while developing a product including eLearning solutions. This requires us to use iterative analysis - design - development - evaluation cycles. User experience research and usability testing are powerful means to gain insights about user needs and to evaluate the solutions designed to meet those needs. Join us for a discussion (and perhaps a few hands-on demonstrations) about the world of user experience (UX) research and usability testing. Not only will we discuss how UX research methods and strategies are applied in the product design and development process, but we will also explore how such methods and strategies can be applied or adapted in other arenas, such as program evaluation, eLearning, or service design. If you are an instructional designer, developer, or evaluation specialist, this month’s eLearning Lunch & Learn (ELL) topic is relevant to you!
