Looking for a Learning Management System? Here’s an opportunity to learn about one that has its roots in education, but is being used to provide professional development in training settings. Edmodo provides teachers, trainers and school administrators with the ability to have a free LMS (Learning Management System) with a broad range of capabilities. User friendly, Edmodo provides for a closed environment where teachers can create classes, small groups, host discussions, administer benchmarks, distribute, collect and grade assignments and much more. Parent accounts, Google integration and connected Apps are additional capabilities. Practical applications of Edmodo in the school and training environment will be demonstrated. Our speaker is Susan Reeves, an Educational Specialist in Digital Age Learning at the Education Service Center, Region 20. She uses Edmodo in providing professional development opportunities throughout the Region 20 districts.
